Description
(CON) Each volume contains between four and five plays apiece, each separately collated and paginated. Each play has a separate frontispiece, as well as an additional plate per play.||(REF) Fifty-three copies in ESTC (many incomplete)||(PRV) Accession no. 103: with the contemporary armorial bookplate of Gardner Brewer in all but two volumes.||(PHY) Accession no. 103: bound in contemporary blind- and gilt-stamped diced calf, marbled edges, and with binder's ticket of J. Robins & Sons in Volume I. 'She Stoops To Conquer' is missing B3 (pp. 11-12, Volume IX). The last four pages of 'The Double Gallant' (Volume X) are numbered incorrectly, but the text is fine. Signature B of 'The Tender Husband' (Volume XX) is incorrectly bound, and consists of three leaves only, though the text appears to be complete; Signature C in 'School for Fathers' (Volume XXI, pp. 17-24) is missing entirely.
