(GEN) With a two page booklist of publications printed for T. Davies. Frontis engraved by F. Hayman after S.F. Ravenet and sixteen exquisite full page engravings by Hayman, one for each fable. Title page printed in red and black.||(EDN) Both copies in the library state third edition, but the dates differ as 1749 and 1766. Eighteenth-Century British Books, Author Catalogue (Robinson et. al.) states the 1749 edition as the Third, so it's likely that the 1766 title page is incorrect.||(REF) Twenty-seven plus copies in ESTC||(PHY) Accession no. 1845: contemporary full calf boards, rebacked and titled in gilt. ESTC calls for a final advertisement leaf.
