Description
(PRV) Both volumes contain the bookplate of Montagu George Knight and Chawton Library shelfmarks L.5.3 and L.5.4 respectively (see Chawton Catalogue 1901). The front end-paper is inscribed: 'Edw[ard] Austen, 1806', referring to Edward Austen II [1794-1879], known as Edward Knight II from 1812, when the family changed their name to Knight.
