(CON) The long list of subscribers, with an appendix, contains the names of a number of Austen connections. They include, "The Rev. Dr. Leigh, Master of Baliol Coll.', 'James Leigh Esq.', 'John Knightly of Offchurch'; 'The Right Hon. the Earl Tilney', "Thomas Perrot Esq. of Bath", and "Dr. James Musgrave". Also in the list are the names that pertain to characters in Austen's novels: 'Miss Bennet', 'Rev. Mr. Collins', 'Rev. Mr. Wickham', 'Mrs. Gardiner', 'Mr. Jennings', 'Mr. Morland, of Coggs', 'Mr. Allen', 'Mrs. Dashwood' and 'Mrs. Weston, of Somerset-house'. However, the list is long and such similarities can only be speculated upon.
