(PRV) Ink signature on fly-leaf, 'Edith Norman. 1891.'  as with Acc. No. 13977, 13980, 13981, 13983, 13986 & 13989. Donated by North American Friends of Chawton House along with other works in the Famous Women series. Courtesy of Sandy Lerner, 2020. (CON) First published as part of W.H. Allen's Eminent Women series in London in 1886. Robinson had written the first full-length biography of Emily Brontë for this series, published in 1883.
